Proposal
Summary
LB Web Designs is pleased to have the
opportunity to respond to _____ _____’s request for a proposal to
produce her new authorized web site.
We are an experienced, full-service web site development company,
and offer design, programming, maintenance, and hosting services. We have been creating web sites for more than eight
years--making us one of the oldest and most enduring of the Internet
firms. Many of our clients have returned
for revisions as newer technology became available.
We have successfully met our customers’ needs which have ranged
from simple informational sites to complex accounting applications with
strict security requirements. Today, to obtain the most
lucrative publishing contract, an author must have a significant fan
base. We believe the ideal way to create such a fan base is through
an informative web site with visually-pleasing graphics, anecdotes and
information. A message
board and a mechanism for visitor interaction with the author enhance
the site’s ability to cultivate the reader and readership. To achieve Ms. _____’s
objectives of a dynamic web site to showcase her publications and
provide a forum for her fans, we propose to design, develop, test, and
maintain www._____-_____.com.
The site will promote the writings of Ms. _____, provide fans
with additional information on her work, and facilitate the purchase of
Ms. _____’s autographed books and other merchandise.
Some key features of the site will be:
The new web site will replace the existing site, created by a former student and now several years old. It does not take advantage of newer Internet technologies, nor does the former student maintain the site. Ms. _____ is unable to update it with currentinformation about her public appearance schedule and new publications. Long Beach Web Designs supports
Ms. _____’s need to make minor changes to the web site herself.
To that end, Long Beach Web Designs will create a public
appearance schedule database that can be changed at will by Ms. _____.
We will also develop a bibliography data base to present her
publications list. New
information, once added to the database, will automatically appear on
the web site. There are
several advantages to this approach.
Long Beach Web Designs will provide all
necessary training to empower Ms. _____ to update her database.
Long Beach Web Designs will also be available to implement any
major changes when necessary. Events
such as new publications are expected to require web page additions and
modifications made by LBWD. Long Beach Web Designs offers a
